judson pitts - u15 boys

Judson has been coaching soccer for the past 15 years. He has coached with IMPACT United, Joga Futbol Club, and AYSO and TYSL recreation leagues before that.  While with AYSO in Region 126 (Cottonwood Heights),  Judson served on the Regional Board for 3 years, and was a Commissioner for boys and girls ages 8-12 for 5 years. 2016 will be Judson's third year with Blue Knights. Judson has successfully coached teams in both tournament play and competitive league play, and he has coached first place teams at the Utah Summer Games and Ice Breaker Tournament in St. George, as well as the Cottonwood Classic and High Valley Shootout locally.  Judson recently turned around a team that was struggling and through hard work, he and the boys won their U-15 boys division this past Fall.

Judson believes strongly that developing character in his players is just as important as developing soccer skills. Players are encouraged to be involved in other activities in their lives that will bring balance, and avoid burnout from an overemphasis on soccer. However, Judson also believes that players need as many touches on the ball as possible to develop their skill, and he aggressively pursues opportunities for his players to guest play with other coaches and teams in an effort to expose players to different styles and ideas.  Judson works with his players to create personalized development plans, and then he helps players to realize what it will take to achieve those soccer goals.

When Judson is not coaching soccer, he practices law and raises his family of 6. Judson enjoys playing board games and card games, or anything involving strategy. He and his family live in Taylorsville.
